Gary A. Hicks | Judy Shoemaker Hicks

Owner/ Operator | Owner (December 17, 1948, to January 18, 2022)

Gary and his beloved wife bought Sudzy Duz It Car Wash in January 1976. He has poured his heart and soul into the car wash to make sure it stays successful. He is still very much a hands-on owner, whether it is to wash a car or fix equipment. Over the years, Gary has taught many people, both young and old, tips of his trade and taught many employees valuable life skills. In January of 1995, Gary’s Quick Lube was opened. 


Judy graduated from Siena Heights University with her bachelor’s degree. Every employee knew when Ms. Judy was on the property, either because she would stop and give everyone an inspirational speech, tell us how thankful she was for us being here working, she would point out many different projects to make sure everyone kept busy, and she would love on every single one of her employees like they were her own. Judy was a very patriotic woman, and shortly before her passing, she wanted a 30-foot flagpole to be put up. The five Veterans who are employed by the Hicks’ erected her pride and joy up on Veterans’ Day, November 11, 2021.


Gary and Judy’s pride and joy is their granddaughter, Brianna; they both enjoy watching her dance and spending time with her. Gary and Judy love to spend time with all the people in their lives.

Molly Hicks

Vice President, GM Gary’s Quick Lube

Molly graduated from Ball State University with her Bachelor of Arts. Molly started at the Car Wash while she was in High School, and when she returned from college, she started working for the Quick Lube in 2000. Since she has started in the Quick Lube, she went from working downstairs to being promoted to the accounting and marketing department for the companies. In 2019, Molly became the General Manager for Gary’s Quick Lube. The pandemic through many curve balls her way, and she handle them with grace and poise.


Molly enjoys spending time with her daughter, Brianna. She loves to watch her dance. Molly is an avid reader. And spend time with her extended family that she has adopted over the years.
